I enjoyed my stay at Premier Inn York City - Blossom St North, mainly because of the excellent location close to the railway station and city center. However, I faced some issues with customer service at check-in and the cleanliness of my room. Overall, it was a comfortable stay, but there is definitely room for improvement.
Rooms
6.0
The room I was in was a bit musty, and while it had a very clean bathroom and the comfiest bed, it wasn't as fresh as I'd hoped.
Service
5.0
The service at check-in was not very friendly, which made me feel a bit unwelcome, though the staff during breakfast were friendly despite being overwhelmed with a long queue.

8.0
The location is fantastic, just a short walk from both the train station and the city center, making it really convenient for exploring York.
Dining
7.0
I found the dining experience to be quite good, with meals that were worth the money, although I had to leave the building to get to the restaurant at the Premier Inn South.

My stay at Premier Inn York City - Blossom St North was decent, with a few ups and downs. The location is fantastic, making it easy to explore York's attractions. However, the decor felt a bit worn, and the corridors had an unpleasant odor that lingered. Overall, it was a comfortable stay, but there are areas for improvement.
Rooms
7.0
The room was on the ground floor and was clean, but the carpets and decor were showing signs of wear (a bit outdated). The bed was comfy which helped me get a good night's sleep.
Service
8.0
The staff I interacted with were friendly and helpful, which made check-in a breeze. They even provided extra tea and coffee from reception upon request.
Location
9.0
The location is excellent, just a 5-minute walk from York station and close to many attractions, making it easy for me to get around town.
Dining
7.0
Dining options were convenient with a nearby Weatherspoons for breakfast, though I didn't take advantage of the onsite breakfast (I was tempted though!).
Facilities
8.0
Facilities included free wifi and air conditioning, which was a lifesaver during one particularly warm night.

I had a mixed experience at Premier Inn York City - Blossom St North. The location was fantastic, just a short walk from the city center, which made exploring York easy. However, I faced a few issues, especially with the room and the service. While the later reception staff were helpful, my initial check-in experience wasn't great, and it set a slightly negative tone for my stay.
Rooms
5.0
My room was located on the second floor, but it was quite warm and noisy, making it hard to sleep. The room faced a pub, and there was no air conditioning, which made it uncomfortable. Plus, the walls felt thin because I could hear snoring from the adjoining room.
Service
5.0
While the later reception staff were accommodating and sorted out a ground floor room for me, the initial receptionist was unfriendly and unhelpful. She seemed unaware of the hotel's policies regarding lifts, which was disappointing.
Location
8.0
The hotel's location was ideal, just outside the city walls and a short walk to the train station and main attractions. This made my time in York convenient and enjoyable.
Dining
6.0
I had breakfast at the hotel, which offered plenty of choices. The food was generally good, though I found the bacon a bit rubbery. There were also some issues with the breakfast service at peak times.
Facilities
5.0
The facilities were decent overall, but I did notice my ground floor room was dark and musty. It felt dated and could have used some refurbishment.

I had a generally good stay at Premier Inn York City - Blossom St North. The rooms were spacious and clean, but I faced some significant issues with Wi-Fi and a lack of electrical sockets near the bed. The staff were incredibly helpful in addressing some of these concerns, which made the experience better overall.
Rooms
8.0
The room was spacious and very clean, though it backed onto a parking area where a lorry was running its engine for a bit.
Service
8.0
The staff were friendly and attentive, quickly assisting with requests, but struggled a bit during busy breakfast hours with long waits.
Location
7.0
Being only a 10-minute walk from the city center made it easy to explore York, but parking was limited and could be a hassle.
Dining
7.0
Breakfast had an excellent variety, but I was a bit disappointed with the quality of some items, like dry bacon and bland sausages.
Facilities
6.0
The Wi-Fi was slow and disconnected frequently, which was quite frustrating, and there was a lack of sockets near the bed.

I had a decent stay overall at Premier Inn York City - Blossom St North. The room was spacious and clean, but the lack of air conditioning made it uncomfortable during my visit. The location was superb for exploring York. The breakfast setup was a bit inconvenient, but manageable. I would rate it an 8.

I opted for the slightly more expensive Premier Plus room, which came with the ultimate wifi, complimentary drinks, and a Nespresso machine. The room was clean and nicely decorated, and I appreciated being able to control the temperature. The bed was comfortable and the area was quiet, so I wasn't disturbed when I was in my room.
Service
7.0
The staff were very helpful, extending our use of the hotel room and often checking up on my daughter. However, they seemed to struggle during the busy breakfast hours when a long queue formed.
Location
8.0
The hotel is ideally located just minutes from the train station and a short walk to the city center. It's perfect for exploring the main attractions, but I did find it a bit noisy being near a staff cupboard and the entrance.
Dining
7.0
Breakfast was served a couple of shops down the road at a different building. While there was plenty of choice, the food quality had its hits and misses; the bacon was a bit rubbery, but there were fresh juices and fruit.
Facilities
6.0
The room included standard coffee and tea making facilities, but the absence of air conditioning in the separate block I stayed in made for an uncomfortable night on a hot Easter weekend.
